Our selection of the In-House or LANTRA accredited Working In Confined Spaces courses that we can deliver.
The aim of this unit is to assess learners against the national standard in a realistic low risk environment. The CABWI Level 2 Award in Working in Low Risk Confined Spaces allows learners to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required by those who need to work in low risk confined spaces as part of their job role. The content, structure and assessment requirements of the qualification were developed by CABWI Awarding Body, in consultation with representatives of the water and utilities industries and their training and assessment providers. This award sits in the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and is regulated by Ofqual and CCEA Regulation.
To achieve a full CABWI Level 2 Award in Working in Low Risk Confined Spaces, a learner must complete a single unit: Working in low risk confined spaces. The learner must demonstrate sufficient knowledge and understanding of low risk confined spaces, and must demonstrate the appropriate practical skills, through a mix of practical observation and written assessment.
The unit teaching will typically take place over the course of one day
The aim of this unit is to assess learners against the national standard in a realistic medium risk environment. The CABWI Level 2 Award in Working in Medium Risk Confined Spaces allows learners to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required by those who need to work in medium risk confined spaces as part of their job role. The content, structure and assessment requirements of the qualification were developed by CABWI Awarding Body, in consultation with representatives of the water and utilities industries and their training and assessment providers. This award sits in the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and is regulated by Ofqual.
To achieve a full Level 2 Award in Working in Medium Risk Confined Spaces, a learner must complete a single unit: Working in medium risk confined spaces. The learner must demonstrate sufficient knowledge and understanding of medium risk confined spaces, and must demonstrate the appropriate practical skills, through a mix of practical observation and written assessment.

The aim of this unit is to assess learners against the national standard in a realistic high risk environment. The CABWI Level 2 Award in Working in High Risk Confined Spaces allows learners to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required by those who need to work in High risk confined spaces as part of their job role.
To achieve a full CABWI Level 2 Award in Working in High Risk Confined Spaces, a learner must complete a single unit: Working in High risk confined spaces. The learner must demonstrate sufficient knowledge and understanding of high risk confined spaces, and must demonstrate the appropriate practical skills, through a mix of practical observation and knowledge assessment.

The aim of this unit is to assess learners acting as the top man (person) in a realistic medium risk confined space environment. The CABWI Level 2 Award in Working in Medium Risk Confined Spaces (Top Person) (Non-Entrant) allows learners to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required by those who need to work at medium risk confined spaces as part of their job role, but who are not required, or are unable, to enter and work in the confined space. Their role will involve acting as a top person on site for those entering the confined space.
To achieve a full Level 2 Award in Top Person for Medium Risk Confined Spaces, a learner must complete a single unit: Top person for medium risk confined spaces. The learner must demonstrate sufficient knowledge and understanding of medium risk confined spaces, and must demonstrate the appropriate practical skills and knowledge, through a mix of practical observation and written assessment.

The aim of this unit is to assess learners acting as the top person for a confined space entry in a high risk environment. The CABWI Level 3 Award in Top Person for High Risk Confined Spaces allows learners to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required by those who need to act as a top person for a high risk confined entry operation as part of their job role. The qualification is designed specifically for those who are undertaking a top person role, and achievement of this Level 3 Award does not prove that a learner is competent to enter and/or work in a confined space. The content, structure and assessment requirements of the qualification were developed by CABWI Awarding Body, in consultation with representatives of the water and utilities industries and their training and assessment providers. This award sits in the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and is regulated by Ofqual.

The aim of this unit is to assess learners against the national standard carrying out emergency rescue and recovery of casualties from a realistic high risk confined space environment. The learner will show that they can prepare to work safely under emergency conditions and enter and exit confined spaces safely. The candidate will also prepare and use appropriate respiratory protective equipment (RPE) and use rescue equipment safely The candidate must follow procedures in order to deal with emergencies in practice.
The unit teaching will typically take place over the course of one day
This certificate has been designed to allow the candidate to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required by those who need to work in low risk confined spaces as part of their job role. The candidate will be able to follow procedures to enter and exit confined spaces correctly. The candidate will be able to correctly use tools and equipment within low risk confined spaces, and correctly respond to an emergency situation whilst within the confined space. The learner must demonstrate a satisfactory level of knowledge and an understanding of low risk confined spaces.

This certificate has been designed to allow the candidate to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required by those who need to work in medium risk confined spaces as part of their job role. The candidate will be able to follow procedures to enter and exit confined spaces correctly, using appropriate, correctly prepared Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE). The candidate will be able to correctly use tools and equipment within medium risk confined spaces, and correctly respond to an emergency situation whilst within the confined space. The learner must demonstrate a satisfactory level of knowledge and an understanding of medium risk confined spaces.
