This course is aimed at people who require a formal qualification for operating a forward tipping dumper.
We will conduct a learner analysis to identify the duration of training required for those with limited or no experience, whereas experienced operators can attend a one day Experienced Worker Assessment.
Understanding the industry, the dangers of working in the industry and responsibilities as an operator
Understanding the manufacturer's handbook for the Counterbalance Lift Truck
Locating and identifying major components of the machine and explaining their function
Locating and identifying key controls and explaining their function
Identifying and maintaining PPE appropriate for the dumper
Conducting all pre-operational and running checks in accordance with manufacturer's and legislative requirements
Preparing the Forward Tipping Dumper for use and operating machinery safely and efficiently
Conducting all necessary safety checks at the work area
Attaching and setting trailed/mounted attachement ready for work
Storing and transporting Forward Tipping Dumper attachments
Explaining loading/unloading procedures for machine transportation
Carrying out all end of work and shut down procedures
This course can be delivered at our venue near Portsmouth or at your venue if you have the required space and equipment.
