This course is aimed at any person who are is involved in the movement of vehicles, covering health and safety and practical lessons on how to move a vehicle in a safe manner.
We will conduct a learner analysis to identify the duration of training required for those with limited or no experience, whereas experienced operators can attend a one day Experienced Worker Assessment.
Understanding the industry, dangers of working in the industry and responsibilities as a vehicle marshal
Understanding the manufacturer’s handbook for a particular vehicle/machine to be used
Understanding of signs and signals, approved hand signals and different forms of communication
Identifying and maintaining PPE appropriate for a vehicle marshal
Conducting all necessary safety checks at the work area and setting up an exclusion zone for unloading
Guiding the vehicle/machinery in forward and reverse directions, including confined spaces and blind spots maintaining full visual contact
Explaining and demonstrating procedures to be adopted regarding environmental considerations
Carrying out all end of work and shut down procedures properly
This course can be delivered at our venue near Portsmouth or at your venue if you have the required space and equipment.
